He is frequently involved in high-end commercial, mining, energy, infrastructure and environment disputes.He appeared in the landmark BALCO case, in which where the Supreme Court drew a distinction between a ‘seat’ and ‘venue’ and held that Part I of the Arbitration Act would not be applicable to arbitration in which the seat/venue is outside India..Sen graduated from Faculty of Law, Delhi University in 1995 and holds a BCL degree from Oxford University. He began his career at the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas before joining the chambers of Senior Advocate Dr Abhishek Manu Singhvi. He went on to work in the chambers of Senior Advocate Aryama Sundaram, before starting his independent practice in 2005.
