Senior Advocate Rajiv Nayar's clerk, Vinod Kumar succumbed to COVID-19 today.
Confirming Kumar's untimely demise, Nayar said,
"Vinod was with me for the past 10 years. Always the last to leave the office. He had a problem reaching court or office (on time) in the mornings. I always used to tell him that the Judges and you enter simultaneously. Ever smiling, affable and fiercely loyal...Always chasing lawyers for bills in a pleasant fashion.
Every evening, there was the ritual of his getting the list to my room past 8. Will miss him and the coffees he organised for me and group of lawyers while we waited for our cases in the new block. May he Rest In Peace."
Advocate Saurabh Seth who works at the chamber of Senior Advocate Nayar said,
"Vinod was an integral part of our chamber and always a great support. Very resourceful and always had a trick up his sleeve to get the job done.
We will miss him. May his soul rest in peace. We will all continue to support his family in any and all ways we can."
Vinod Kumar was in his 40s. Prior to joining Nayar's chamber, he worked at Karanjawala & Co and Khaitan & Co.
