With Dipankar and Jay joining, I am sure the corporate practice will increase. This is a very exciting time for all of us”..All the new partners and Krishnayan are NUJS Kolkata graduates. Dipankar and Jay started their career with Amarchand Mangaldas and then later on moved as part of the team that founded Bharucha & Partners..Talking about the decision to move to VERUS Advocates, Jay said, “There was always this urge to start off on my own and this came up as a great opportunity. We are all like-minded people and we thought that we should integrate our practice. He has previously worked in the Chambers of Senior Advocate, Raju Ramachandran. Rishad did his masters from Chicago Law School and is qualified to practice in India as well as in New York..Sourav started his career as a litigator working with Senior Advocate Joymalya Bagchi and later moved to FoxMandal and expanded his practice to include corporate transactions and advisory matters. Sourav shall handle the firm’s practice in Kolkata and will expand the firm’s practice to other areas in eastern India, in particular, Bhubaneswar and Guwahati..VERUS Advocates’ Hyderabad office, which was started with Mayur Reddy last year, is also looking to expand its Hyderabad operations with more associates joining that office..At present, there are 10 associates across all offices. Talking about the future plans Krishnayan said, “We would like to expand in terms of number of people and are looking to recruit lawyers in Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad. We definitely plan to double the head count by end of this year.”.“We are also planning to move into larger office space both in Mumbai and Delhi.
