Sunil Manohar to be Maharashtra’s next Advocate General

Bombay High Court senior advocate Sunil Manohar is slated to be Maharashtra’s next Advocate General, reports TOIThe BJP Government headed by Devendra Fadnavis, has recommended Manohar’s name for appointment as Maharashtra’s top law officer. The Nagpur-based veteran will succeed current AG Darius Khambata, who served under the previous Congress-NCP government. 

Apart from Sunil Manohar, senior lawyer from Nagpur Subodh Dharmadhikari, Chhattisgarh’s Advocate General Jugalkishor Gilda, senior lawyer in Mumbai Ram Apte and Aurangabad’s senior lawyer Vinayak Dixit, were being considered for the post, according to Nagpur Today.
