Madras High Court judge seeks transfer to north-east so that she can retain her official residence in Chennai; Collegium rejects request
Justice Velumani requested that she be transferred to Tripura, Manipur or any other north-eastern State so that she would then be able to retain her official residence at Chennai.
The Supreme Court Collegium on March 28 reiterated its previous recommendation of transferring Justice VM Velumani of the Madras High Court to the Calcutta High Court.
