Supreme Court has decided 2,183 Constitution bench cases since its inception in 1950: Law Minister in Parliament

The period between 1960 and 1969 witnessed the highest number of Constitution bench cases being decided and disposed of, reaching 956 cases.

The Supreme Court has decided a total of 2,183 Constitution bench cases since it came into existence in January 1950, the Minister of State for Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal said in parliament on Friday.
