Supreme Court designates 7 retired High Court judges as Senior Advocates

Out of these 7 names, 6 are former High Court judges, while one is a former Chief Justice of the High Court.

The Supreme Court of India on September 18 designated seven former High Court judges as Senior Advocates.

Out of these seven, six are former High Court judges while one is a former Chief Justice of the High Court.

The decision was ratified at a full court meeting of the top court held on September 17.

The judges who have been conferred the gown are:

- Justice Attau Rehman Masoodi (Allahabad High Court)

- Justice Avinash Gharote (Bombay High Court)

- Justice D Krishna Kumar (Chief Justice, Manipur High Court)

- Justice G Ilangovan (Madras High Court)

- Justice Jitendra Kumar Chauhan (Punjab and Haryana High Court)

- Justice R Subramanian (Madras High Court )

- Justice Virendra Gyansingh Bisht (Bombay High Court)
