Supreme Court imposes ₹10k costs on BJP's Aminul Haque Laskar for seeking adjournment

A bench of Justices Aniruddha Bose and Bela M Trivedi objected to to the fact that an adjournment was sought on account of senior counsel being unavailable, despite the case being listed as part-heard & top of the board.

The Supreme Court on Thursday imposed ₹10,000 costs on Assam Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Aminul Haque Laskar for seeking adjournment in a case by him against All India United Democratic (AIUDF) leader Karim Uddin Barbhuiya.
