Supreme Court mobile application now on iOS, five vernacular language options for users

Chief Justice of India SA Bobde has directed the release of iOS version of Official Mobile App of the Supreme Court of India through Apple App Store, which works both on iPhones and iPads.

The current mobile application of the Supreme Court functions on the Android platform.

The iOS version of the app will have different dashboards stating general information for Litigants/public and personalized information for Advocates–on-record which has been made available where they can download or share the status links of searched contents.

The circular from the top court's Registrar (Computer Cell) read that search options in the app include various Cause Lists, Case Status, Daily Orders, Judgments, Latest Updates, Office Reports, Circulars, Rules, Display Board System among other options.

The iOS user of the app can select his preferred language from the menu option of Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada with the default English version.

The app can be downloaded from the link provided on the Supreme Court official website (http://sci.gov.in) or directly from App Store.

The release from the top court states that the app not only provides the current status of searched cases along with judgments in vernacular languages (wherever available) but also facilitates Advocates-on-record to add/remove cases into their account which they wish to follow.
