Supreme Court orders no coercive action be taken against Sudhir Chaudhary for remarks about Adivasis

"This is one such case where the (Jharkhand) High Court should have straight away granted no coercive order," Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud remarked.

The Supreme Court on Monday directed that no coercive action be taken against television news anchor Sudhir Chaudhary in connection with criminal proceedings against him for alleged remarks against the Adivasi community [Sudhir Chaudhary vs State of Jharkhand and ors].
