Supreme Court paves way for Wrestling Federation of India polls; lifts stay by Punjab & Haryana High Court

The polls were scheduled for August 12 but various State wrestling bodies moved several High Courts to halt the process citing their ineligibility to vote.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday lifted the stay imposed by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on holding polls to elect the executive committee of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).
