Supreme Court rules additional and permanent High Court judges must be given equal pension
₹15 lakhs is to be paid annually as pension to all retired High Court Chief Justices, and ₹13.6 lakhs is to be paid to retired High Court judges annually, regardless of whether they were additional or permanent judges.
The Supreme Court has ruled that all retired High Court judge, regardless of whether they served as permanent High Court judges or additional High Court judges, are entitled to equal pension and other retiral benefits.
