Supreme Court sets aside AP High Court order criticising Collegium, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy

The High Court order was authored by Justice Rakesh Kumar who is known for his outspoken judgments. He had recently resigned from the NCLAT after a contempt of court case was initiated against him.

The Supreme Court on Friday quashed a controversial Andhra Pradesh High Court order passed by a bench led by Justice Rakesh Kumar in which the High Court had strongly rebuked the Collegium and Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy [State of Andhra Pradesh and ors vs Thota Suresh Babu and ors].
