Supreme Court stays directions by Andhra Pradesh High Court to complete construction of capital Amaravati in 6 months

The Supreme Court on Monday sought the response of the Central government, and other respondents on an appeal by the Andhra Pradesh government (AP) challenging a March 3 judgment of AP High Court declaring Amaravati as the only capital of the State [State of Andhra Pradesh v Rajadhani Rythu Parirakshnana Samithi].
