Supreme Court stays directions by Andhra Pradesh High Court to complete construction of capital Amaravati in 6 months

The Court also issued notice on the appeal by the AP government challenging a March 3 judgment of AP High Court declaring Amaravati as the only capital of the State, instead of the three capitals proposed by State.

The Supreme Court on Monday sought the response of the Central government, and other respondents on an appeal by the Andhra Pradesh government (AP) challenging a March 3 judgment of AP High Court declaring Amaravati as the only capital of the State [State of Andhra Pradesh v Rajadhani Rythu Parirakshnana Samithi].
