Supreme Court stays relocation of deer from Hauz Khas park in Delhi

A plea before the Court has challenged the move to relocate around 600 captive deer, alleging that it violates wildlife laws and exposes the deer to predators.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday passed an interim order restraining the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and other authorities from shifting deer remaining in the AN Jha Deer Park in Delhi’s Hauz Khas area to forest zones in Rajasthan, among other areas.
