Eight of the newly appointed Judges are set to serve a two year term from the date they assume charge of their office.
However, the terms of Justices Ananthi Subramanian and Kannammal Shanmuga Sundaram have been fixed differently. As per the notification, Justice Subramanian has been appointed to serve till July 30, 2022, whereas Justice Sundaram has been appointed until July 19, 2022.
All the judges were recommended for elevation to the Madras High Court in September this year by the Supreme Court Collegium.
