During a discussion on an office-related issue, advocate Das lost his temper and struck the female lawyer on her face. The junior lawyer is currently undergoing treatment at the General Hospital. From the moment we received news of the incident, the Bar Association has been providing her with the necessary support and assistance. The police have initiated proceedings by registering a case against advocate Das. Following a meeting of the Managing Committee, the Bar Association has immediately suspended his membership," Pramod said. .The incident took place at Das's office near Vanchiyoor Court in Thiruvananthapuram. The assault reportedly left the young lawyer with injuries and she is currently undergoing medical treatment at the General Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. .Update: A first information report (FIR) was registered by Vanchiyoor Police on the evening of May 13 booking Das under Section 126(2) (wrongful restraint), 74 (assault of woman with intention to outrage her modesty), and 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. As per the FIR, Das slapped the junior lawyer when she raised a complaint against another colleague. She fell to the floor and as she got up, Das allegedly held her hands, and slapped her again.
