Twisha Sharma death: Bhopal court extends judicial custody of Giribala Singh, Samarth Singh by 14 days

A Bhopal court on June 30 extended the judicial custody of retired judge Giribala Singh and her son, lawyer Samarth Singh, by 14 days in connection with the alleged dowry death of Pune-based model-turned-actor Twisha Sharma..The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sought the extension, informing the court that several aspects of the investigation are still pending, including forensic examination of evidence and retrieval of data from Samarth Singh’s password-protected laptop..The agency has also moved an application seeking voice samples of both Giribala Singh and Samarth Singh to examine certain audio recordings as part of the investigation. The application has been listed for hearing on July 3, when the court is expected to pass appropriate directions.According to counsel Ankur Pandey, the CBI told the court that the reports from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) are still awaited.
