UP court grants bail to Rahul Gandhi in defamation case filed by BJP leader for remarks against HM Amit Shah

Gandhi is reported to have said in 2018 that despite the BJP's claim that its politics were clean, it had a party president who was "accused" in a murder case. Shah was the BJP president at the time.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was granted bail on Tuesday by a local court in Uttar Pradesh's Sultanpur in a defamation case filed against him by a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader over remarks allegedly made in 2018 against Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
