V Law Partners merges with DH Law Associates, which becomes 10-Partner firm

Vivek Daswaney has merged his 5-years old law firm, V Law Partners, with D.H. Law Associates. The merger, wherein Daswaney’s 10-member team will merge with D.H. Law, is with effect from January 1, 2015..Daswaney will now be a senior Partner at D.H. Law and in a release, said,.“I have personally known most of the partners at D.H. Law for over a decade and the synergies seem right for us to integrate our practices to provide a better and broader platform to our present and prospective clients.”.D.H. Law Partner, Nusrat Hassan said,.“It is an excellent opportunity. The kind of talent and clients that Vivek has brought in, it has been a perfect synergy between us.”.Daswaney is qualified as a solicitor in Mumbai and in England & Wales. He initially worked with ARA Law for close to five years before moving to Kochhar & Co. After working with Kochhar for almost three years he moved to ALMT Legal, where he was made a Partner in 2006. In 2009, he left ALMT to set up V Law Partners, which has now merged with D.H. Law Associates..On his 5-year experience at V Law Partners, Daswaney said,.“It’s been a great journey and experience to set up and run a law firm.”.Early in 2014, D. H. Law had also inducted Geeta Saha as the banking & project finance partner. With the merger, D.H. Law now has 10 partners across its offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Goa and Patna.
