The plea claimed both the leaders were trying to spoil the atmosphere of Varanasi by hurting religious sentiments through their controversial comments on 'Shiva Linga' inside the Gyanvapi mosque.

A Varanasi sessions court on Tuesday dismissed a plea seeking registration of a first information report (FIR) against Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi for their remarks about the ongoing Kashi Vishwanath-Gyanvapi Mosque case.
