The Court of Chief Justice of India of the Supreme Court was witness to a brief but intriguing exchange today between CJI Ranjan Gogoi and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta..The incident happened at 10.30 am when Mehta mentioned the 2G matter. He said that some interim applications need to be considered for which Bench needs to be constituted since Justice AK Sikri who was heading the Bench has retired..“The 2G matter was being monitored by a Bench of Justice Sikri. He has retired. Some IAs have come up”, said Mehta seeking constitution of a new Bench..CJI Ranjan Gogoi responded by saying,.“Now that you have mentioned the matter, we would also like to mention something. But we cannot do it in open court. You can find out for yourself.
