[Zakir Naik] UAPA Tribunal of Justice DN Patel to confirm 'unlawful association' status of Islamic Research Foundation
The Central government had declared IRF as an unlawful association by a notification dated November 15, 2021 under the UAPA. The same has to be confirmed by the tribunal.
The Central government has constituted a one-member tribunal of Delhi High Court Chief Justice DN Patel to confirm the government's declaration of Islamic preacher Zakir Naik's organisation Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) as an "unlawful association" under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
