
Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Mumbai is offering a one-year postgraduate diploma in crime investigation, medical jurisprudence, and forensic science (PDCMF), starting from October 2025.
To meet the demand of technologically driven and evolved crimes, law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, judicial officers, and defense attorneys require comprehensive training.
With this imperative, the Centre for Research in Criminal Justice (CRCJ) at MNLUM aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and expertise necessary to effectively address the evolving challenges posed by modern day crime. Through a comprehensive curriculum, participants will gain an understanding of crime investigation techniques, medical jurisprudence principles, and forensic science methodologies.
Medium of Instruction: English
Course duration: 1 year divided into 2 semesters
Course dates: Start: October 2025; End: September 2026.
Classes: Weekends and public holidays only.
Exams: On holidays
Sem 1: 3 papers
Sem 2: 3 papers
2 Research Projects in each semester.
Modes of Learning: Mainly lectures and assignments. The course may
feature field visits, seminars, workshops, conferences, and special lectures delivered by industry experts.
Total seats: 60; seat allotment is subject to discretion of the University.
Course completion duration: Participants have a maximum of 2 years to complete the course; failure to do so may necessitate re-registration, subject to the University's terms and conditions.
Course Fees: Indians - ₹36,000/-
International Students - USD $460/-
Repeat / Supplementary Exam fee: Rs.500/- per Paper (USD $10)
Convocation fees: Charged separately as per the University rules.
Course discontinuation: A partial refund (50%) will be granted for
course cancellation request submitted within 15 days of receiving your
admission offer. Refunds will not be processed after 30 days of the
admission offer date.
