MNLU Mumbai announces Online Certificate Course on Intellectual Property Rights

The Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) - IPR Chair and the Centre for Research in Intellectual Property (CRIP) of Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Mumbai, are jointly organizing an Online Certificate Course on the Protection of Trademarks, Copyrights, Designs, Geographical Indications and Plant Varieties & Farmers’ Rights in India.

About the Course

Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) such as Trade Marks, Copyrights, Designs, Geographical Indications (GI), and Protection of Plant Varieties & Farmers’ Rights (PVP&FR) play a crucial role in fostering innovation, creativity, and industrial growth. With rapid developments in India’s IPR regime, digital reforms, and IP procedures it has become essential for students, professionals, academicians, and innovators to gain practical and legal knowledge of Intellectual Property laws.

Keeping this objective in view, the “One Week Online Certificate Course on Trade Marks, Copyrights, Designs, GI, and PPV & FR in India” is designed to provide comprehensive understanding of the legal framework, registration procedures, protection mechanisms, and recent developments in the field of IPR. The course will be conducted by experienced academicians, senior officials of the Indian Intellectual Property Office, and leading IPR professionals.

11. Infringement, Fair Use, Piracy and Penalties

12. Plant Variety Protection and Farmer Rights Act.
