

Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Mumbai has officially signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) with NITI Aayog to drive impactful legal reforms and policy excellence.
The partnership aims to bridge academic scholarship with national policy-making.
"It is a testament to the visionary leadership and relentless efforts of our esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Ukey. Together, we are committed to fostering cutting-edge research, policy innovation, and institutional reforms to help shape the vision of a developed India," a press release stated.
Key Focus Areas
The collaboration will leverage academic insights to deliver actionable policy recommendations across critical and emerging domains:
Technology & Ethics: AI & Legal Ethics, Data Privacy, and Cybersecurity.
Social Justice & Empowerment: Women’s Rights, Workplace Harassment Prevention, POCSO cases, Acid Attack Victim Support, and Tribal Rights.
Modernizing Justice: Online Dispute Resolution (ODR), Judicial Reforms, Criminal Law, and Juvenile Justice.
Sustainability: Environmental Law and Climate Change Litigation.
Through joint research, high-level stakeholder consultations, policy briefs, and capacity-building programs, this alliance aims to integrate global best practices into India's legal ecosystem.
