NLSIU wins 2nd NLU Delhi Vidhi Pragati National IP Moot

32 teams from across India participated in the competition.

A team from National Law School of India University (NLSIU) won the 2nd Vidhi Pragati: National IP Moot Court Competition 2026 hosted at National Law University Delhi from February 6-8, 2026.

The winning team comprised Kiyaan Ajinkya, Uday Suravaram and Om Hosamane. 

The runners-up team was from Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai (MNLU Mumbai) and comprised Shagun, Sanskar Chandak and Varuni.

Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) were the second runners-up. The team comprised Rishita Deshlahra, Abhishek Diwan and Palak Saini.

Tarang Manoj Rathi from West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata was awarded the Best Speaker award.

Best Memorial was awarded to the team from Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar. Sravanthi from National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi won the Best Researcher award. 

This year's moot problem was based on the theme 'Trademark and Copyright' and dealt with issues related to likelihood of confusion in trademark infringement, allied and cognate goods between rival products and standards of copyright infringement. 

32 teams from across India participated in the competition organised by the IPR Chair at NLU Delhi with the support of Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), along with collaborative efforts from the Centre for Innovation, Intellectual Property and Competition, NLU Delhi.
