India's M&A market has never been more active, and the gap between knowing transaction law and practising it has never mattered more. From structuring a term sheet and running legal due diligence, to negotiating an SPA, securing regulatory clearances and closing a cross-border deal, law firms no longer pay for learning curves. Day-one readiness is expected.
India's best law schools teach the law brilliantly. Nobody was teaching the deal.
To close that gap, National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi), through its Centre for Regulatory Studies (CRS), has partnered with Mentblue to launch The Practice Series, a joint initiative designed to take participants through the full lifecycle of a practice area the way it actually unfolds inside a Tier 1 law firm. The second course under The Practice Series, a Certificate Course on Mergers & Acquisitions: Due Diligence and Deal Making, commences June 20, 2026. Enrolments are open.
Why This Course?
Practitioner-led faculty. Partners and senior practitioners from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, JSA Advocates & Solicitors, Khaitan & Co. and AP & Partners. The lawyers who run M&A mandates for a living, not just teach about them.
End-to-end deal view. From term sheet to post-merger integration, the entire transaction lifecycle is taught in the sequence a deal actually unfolds, not as isolated topics.
Live deal scenarios. Real Indian and cross-border transactions. Annotated SPAs, redacted DD reports and term sheets, not sanitised case studies.
Internship opportunity with AP & Partners. The top performer in the cohort is offered an internship with AP & Partners, working alongside the firm's M&A practice on live mandates.
NLU Delhi certification. The course is supervised by the Centre for Regulatory Studies, NLU Delhi, and the certificate is issued by the University.
Flexible format. Weekend-only live sessions with six-month recording access, built for law students and working professionals alike.
