MNLU Mumbai National Corporate Due Diligence Competition 2025

The competition format enables law students to develop practical skills in corporate advisory work, bridging the gap between theory and practice.

The Centre for Training and Research in Commercial Regulations (CTRCR) of the Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai (MNLU Mumbai), is organizing a National Corporate Due Diligence Competition on November 8, 2025.

The competition places participants in the role of corporate transactional lawyers and is designed to simulate the a corporate advisory practice. The competition challenges students to:

- Identify red flags in corporate transactions

- Uncover compliance gaps

- Draft detailed risk reports

- Negotiate contractual clauses

The competition format enables law students to develop practical skills in corporate advisory work, bridging the gap between theory and practice.

Eligibility

Open to all undergraduate law students enrolled in 3-year (2nd year and onwards) or 5-year LLB (3rd year and onwards) programmes from recognized institutions in India.

Event Structure

The competition will be held in 2 rounds simulating different stages of a due diligence exercise, including:

1. Due Diligence Report

2. Negotiation Round
