RMLNLU finish runners-up in mediation segment of IBA-VIAC consensual dispute resolution competition

The competition took place between July 11-15, 2025.

The team from Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU) Lucknow emerged as runners-up in the Mediation segment of the International Bar Association - Vienna International Arbitral Centre (IBA-VIAC) Consensual Dispute Resolution Competition (CDRC).

The team comprised Akarsh Anand and Sana Soneja.

Singapore Management University won the finals.

The mediation problem pertained to principles of contract termination, bank guarantee, insurance law, banking law and settlement of the dispute outside the court.

With 66 participating teams at the CDRC competition, India was represented by Lloyd Law College; Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai; National Law School of India, Bengaluru; National Law University, Delhi; National Law University, Jodhpur; OP Jindal Global University; School of Law, Christ University; Symbiosis Law School, Pune; West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata; UPES, Dehradun; Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar; Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla; and NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.
