RecTracker: 103 students of JGLS Batch of 2023 placed in Indian law firms

A total of 103 students of the 2023 graduating batch of Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) have been placed at law firms across the country.

77 students received offers from leading firms on Day Zero conducted on August 3 and 4, while 26 students bagged Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs).

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas recruited the maximum number of students, with 44 hires. This was followed by Trilegal with 17.

AZB & Partners (Mumbai), Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and IndusLaw recruited 7 students each.

Khaitan & Co recruited a total of 4 students, while Argus Partners, Panag and Babu Law Offices, Veritas Legal and Saraf & Partners recruited 3 students each.

Luthra & Luthra Partners recruited 2 students, while Spice Route Legal, AZB & Partners (Delhi) and ICICI Bank recruited 1 student each.

Founding Vice-Chancellor and Dean of OP Jindal Global University Prof C Raj Kumar said in a press release,

“We are committed to maximizing the career prospects for students by creating new opportunities of employment and this is a special moment as it comes after a long period of uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic! The Office of Career Services at the university is dedicated to ensuring the best placement opportunities for our students..."

He also revealed that AZB & Partners (Delhi), J Sagar Associates, Stratage Partners and Saakshya Law will be among the law firms participating in the Day 1 placement process to be conducted at the University soon.

This year's recruitment numbers far exceed last year's, record where 48 students at the University received offers across leading law firms. In 2020, 36 students secured Day Zero offers .
