Rishabh Malaviya, formerly a lawyer with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, has joined the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) as Deputy Counsel.

Malaviya is a 2017 graduate of ILS Law College, Pune and has an LL.M. in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution from National University of Singapore.

On completing his Master's, Malaviya began his career as a paralegal at Global Legal Solutions Group in Singapore for a brief period. He later joined Arista Chambers in Bengaluru for about a year.

Prior to joining SIAC as Deputy Counsel, Malaviya was with the Dispute Resolution team at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas for close to 3 years.

Speaking to Bar and Bench on the new feather in his cap, Malaviya said,

"I am incredibly thrilled about my new role as Deputy Counsel at SIAC. It is a great opportunity for me to continue studying international arbitration during my time at SIAC. Arbitration is a field that interested me for a while now. Since law school, I made a conscious attempt to read and write more on arbitration related topics. At the same time, when I started out my career, I was very clear to acquire experience more generally as well. Now I want to move towards specialising in arbitration."
