Formerly Partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in the employment practice group, Richa Mohanty Rao joins Urban Company as General Counsel

Rao is a 2008 graduate of Symbiosis Law School and began her career with the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas where she worked for 7 years. Post this, she went on to associate with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas across Mumbai and Delhi offices. She was elevated to the firm's partnership in September 2018.

Rao was Partner at the firm for close to 5 years before quitting to join Urban Company as General Counsel.

On Rao's joining as General Counsel, Abhiraj Singh Bhal, CEO & Co-founder, Urban Company, said,
