JSA debunks rumours on tie-up with international law firm

JSA has referral relationships with several law firms across the globe.

JSA has debunked rumours that it is entering into an exclusive relationship with an international firm.

In a statement calling the rumours baseless, JSA has clarified that the firm is not entering into any such tie-up.

The statement made it clear that JSA works independently and has referral relationships with several law firms across the globe.

"JSA will continue to build these relationships and has no intention of entering into an exclusive relationship with any one firm," it reads.

Indian law firms have in the past entered into exclusive "best friends" tie-ups with international law firms - Trilegal and Allen & Overy; AZB & Partners and Clifford Chance; ALMT and Clyde & Co; Dua Associates and Garrigues; and Vaish Associates and Dacheng Central were some of the best friend relations that have since been dissolved.

In 2022, Link Legal entered into a combination with international law firm Dentons.

With the imminent opening up of the Indian legal market, there is a chance that there will be similar collaborations between Indian and UK law firms.
