Mehak Oberoi joins CMS INDUSLAW as Partner in Delhi/NCR

Oberoi is a construction law specialist with nearly two decades of experience advising on complex EPC projects, FIDIC-governed contracts, cross-border transactions and disputes.

CMS INDUSLAW has announced the joining of Mehak Oberoi as a Partner in the firm’s Infrastructure & Projects and Construction team. She will be based out of the firm’s Delhi & NCR offices.

Oberoi is a 2008 graduate of Symbiosis Law School, Pune. She earned her LLM in ADR from the School of Law, GD Goenka University.

Oberoi is a construction law specialist with nearly two decades of experience advising on complex EPC projects, FIDIC-governed contracts, cross-border transactions and disputes across the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors in the Asia-Pacific region. Her practice spans the entire project lifecycle, including project strategy, complex contractual negotiations, risk allocation, claims and dispute avoidance, international arbitration, construction mediation and board-level governance.

She has a distinctive combination of deep sector expertise, legal strategy and commercial insight developed through nearly two decades of advising on major infrastructure and energy projects.

Oberoi is the author of "Constructive Counsel: Construction Law Explained and Construction Mediation: A Practical Handbook", India’s first sector-specific book dedicated to construction mediation. She is also the Founder of ConstructHER Legal Network, an international practitioner-led platform with a presence across seven jurisdictions, focused on advancing women in construction, infrastructure and energy law.

Prior to joining CMS INDUSLAW, Oberoi served as Legal Head – Hydro, Asia-Pacific at GE Vernova, where she led end-to-end legal strategy across the project lifecycle and advised commercial leadership and boards on governance, regulatory risk, joint ventures, restructuring and major capital transactions. She previously held legal roles across GE’s renewable energy, transportation, manufacturing, grid solutions and oil and gas businesses.
