Chandhiok & Mahajan acts on AlmaBetter’s fundraise led by Kalaari Capital

Upskilling platform AlmaBetter has raised and secured a funding of approximately ₹21.8 crores ($2.7 Million), led by Kalaari Capital and over 15 angel investors and CXOs of marquee technology companies participated.

Some of these investors are Vidit Aatrey (CEO, Meesho); Sanjeev Kumar (CTO, Meesho); Rajesh Yabaji (CEO, Blackbuck); and Varun Alagh (CEO, Mamaearth); and Rahul Dalmia (early backer in Polygon Technology), among others.

Chandhiok & Mahajan acted for AlmaBetter on the deal.

The transaction team consisted of Kaushalya Venkataraman (Partner), Jagrat Rawal (Senior Associate) and Shivani (Associate).

AlmaBetter provides training to individuals for upskilling them in information technology as well as providing placement assistance to individuals in the information technology sector. Pursuant to the fundraise, AlmaBetter plans to expand its offerings to cater to college students, in addition to strengthening the existing offerings for graduates and working professionals and the brand also plans to launch new job-oriented courses in the field of product engineering, UI/UX, and other related fields.
