CAM Competition Partner Bharat Budholia joins AZB & Partners

Bar & Bench

Bharat Budholia, who had recently resigned from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, has today joined AZB & Partners in Mumbai.

Commenting on Bharat’s joining, AZB Managing Partner Zia Mody said,

“We are delighted to have Bharat join us and have his experience and expertise add to our competition practice.”

Bharat is the sole competition partner in Mumbai in the firm’s Competition practice (with Rahul Rai having left the partnership in 2019 for chambers), which is headed by Samir Gandhi.

Bharat was made Partner in 2016 after Nisha Kaur Uberoi left Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas to co-head AZB’s Competition Practice (who now heads Trilegal’s competition practice).

Post that, CAM had hired Avaantika Kakkar from Khaitan to head it’s competition practice and Anshuman Sakle also from Khaitan’s competition practice in Mumbai.

Bharat started his career with Juris Corp after graduating from HNLU, Raipur in 2009. In 2011, he moved to Amarchand Mangaldas and had been with the firm since then.
