The last date for submitting online applications to write the Common Law Admission Test 2021 (CLAT 2021) has been extended from April 30 to May 15.

The decision was taken by the Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities which met on April 28, 2021.

"After reviewing recent developments the Committee resolved to extend the application deadline due to difficulties faced by students arising out of bank closures and lockdowns. The last date for submission of CLAT 2021 online applications has been extended upto Saturday, the 15th May, 2021," a notification issued by the Consortium of National Law Universities said.

CLAT 2021 which was initially scheduled to be held on May 9 was postponed to June 13 in light of clashes with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board exams announced in January, 2021.

The last date for application was also extended once before from March 30 to April 30.

The notification urged candidates who are desirous of appearing in CLAT 2021 to keep visiting the website of the Consortium of NLUs https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/
