[Exclusive]: Former Diageo Legal Director Nischal Hindia joins GlaxoSmithKline as General Counsel

Nischal Hindia, former Legal Director at Diageo India, has joined GlaxoSmithKline India as General Counsel, according to sources.

It is understood that Hindia would be replacing Kaizad Hazari, Executive Vice President – Legal & Corporate Affairs.

Nischal had joined Diageo from UBS in June 2013 but had resigned from the company earlier this year.

A 2003 graduate of NLSIU, Bangalore, he had joined UBS India in 2011 and worked as General Counsel for over two years.

He started his career at Wadia Ghandy & Co., Mumbai where he practiced general corporate, M&A and private equity. Following this, Nischal moved to Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London in their Corporate group. He later joined Allen & Overy LLP, London, where he spent over four years in its capital markets and M&A practices.
