Dua Associates is on an aggressive expansion mode. And how. The firm has recently merged practices with Mumbai-based Thakore Jariwala & Associates, and Chandigarh-based SAK & Associates.
In Mumbai, Thakore Jariwala’s senior litigation lawyers Hetal Thakore and Z.A. Jariwala have joined Dua as Equity Partners while Agnes Baradia and Jyoti Ghag as salaried partners. Both Thakore and Jariwala have over 30 years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution.
In Chandigarh, SAK & Associates’ Siddhartha Kumar will join as an equity partner while Aman Bahri will join the firm in the Chandigarh office as a non-equity partner. Kumar focuses on corporate practice and Bahri has been litigating for over 15 years.
Promotions
The firm has also announed its annual promotions. Dua Associates has promoted five of its Managers to partnership across Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai.
In Delhi, the firm has promoted Amarta Roy and Suneera Tandon to partnership. In Bangalore, Rayappa Hadagali and P K Shrikara have been promoted while in Chennai S Arjun Suresh has been promoted.
Another litigation lawyer, Munawwar Naseem who had left the firm five years back for an independent practice, has rejoined the firm as a partner in the Delhi Office.
This takes the total number of partners at the firm to 59 and about 200 plus lawyers.
