Chintan Chinnappa, Mahesh Arkalgud, Poornachandra B. Pattar, and Vaishnavi Bhaskaran have set up a full service law firm “Spectrum Legal” in Bangalore.

Chintan Chinnappa and Mahesh Arkalgud, both of whom were Senior Associates at Dua Associates, will co-head the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice of the firm.

Poornachandra B. Pattar, who started his career with PXV Law Partners with stints at Dua Associates, and Tally Solutions Ltd., will head the Real Estate practice of the firm.

Both Chintan and Mahesh are graduates of Bangalore University. Poornachandra also holds a Master’s Degree from National University of Singapore.

Vaishnavi Bhaskaran, a graduate of National Law University, Jodhpur, will head the Corporate Practice and the Employment practice at the firm. She started her career at K Law after which she worked at Poovayya & Co and most recently ran an independent practice.

In the firm’s press release, the four founding Partners note that,

“[D]espite the mushrooming of law firms in the city, there is conspicuous absence of young law firms that cater to clients across practice groups, and Spectrum Legal was conceived with a view to address that chasm.”

Although the firm’s size was not disclosed, the Partners did say that they are in the process of making more hires.
