[Exclusive]: Shardul Amarchand Equity Partner Kalpataru Tripathy resigns (Updated)

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Delhi Equity Partner Kalpataru Tripathy has resigned from the firm.

Kalpataru confirmed his decision to resign to Bar & Bench. However, at this moment, there is no clarity on where he will be going next.

Shardul Shroff and Pallavi Shroff were not available for comment at the time of publication.

Update: In the internal email sent by Chairman Shardul Shroff to all the partners, Shroff said, “KT is taking a break from a law firm career and change track to focus on angel investor funding/advisory for start ups and innovators”.

Shroff added, “KT has been such an integral part of the firm for so many years and a dear friend – it is very hard to see him go, for me…”

Kalpataru joined Amarchand Mangaldas in 2002. Prior to joining the firm, he worked with A. Jugran & Co. Advocates.

He specializes in Mergers & Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, and Private Equity practice.
