Former Solicitor General of India, Dipankar Prasad Gupta passes away

Former Solicitor General of India, Senior Advocate Dipankar Prasad Gupta passed away on Sunday.

He served as the Solicitor General of India between 1992 and 1997. Prior to this, he also served as Advocate General for the state of West Bengal.

The cremation will take place on Monday afternoon, at 2 pm at the Electric Crematorium, Lodhi Road Delhi.

His son, Jaideep Gupta and brother, Bhaskar P Gupta, are Senior Advocates.
