Central government notifies appointment of 3 judicial officers as Karnataka High Court judges

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended their names on September 10.

The Central Government on Saturday cleared the appointment of three judicial officers as additional judges of the Karnataka High Court.

The three judicial officers who have been elevated are:

(i) Usharani;

(ii) KS Bharath Kumar; and

(iii) Nerale Veerabhadraiah Bhavani.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended their names on September 10.

Karnataka High Court currently has 54 judges against its approved strength of 62.

Once the three newly appointed judges assume office, its working strength will rise to 57.
