Supreme Court Collegium recommends six additional judges of Karnataka High Court to be made permanent

The collegium statement was published today soon after nine recommendations were made for appointment as judges of the top court.

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended appointment of six additional judges of the Karnataka High Court as permanent judges.

The following are the additional judges whose names have been recommended for permanent judgeship:

1. Justice Neranahalli Srinivasan Sanjay Gowda

2. Justice Jyoti Mulimani

3. Justice Nataraj Rangaswamy

4. Justice Hemant Chandangoudar

5. Justice Pradeep Singh Yerur

6. Justice Maheshan Nagaprasanna

The collegium statement to this effect was issued today shortly after nine recommendations were made for appointment as judges of the top court.

Karnataka High Court has a sanctioned strength of 42. It is functioning with 47 judges, a vacancy position of 15.
