NLSIU grad and former Clifford Chance SA Rishi Gautam to join AZB Mumbai as Partner

AZB & Partners has hired former Clifford Chance Senior Associate Rishi Gautam as a Partner in the firm’s Mumbai office.

Gautam will be joining the firm early next year, as first reported by Legally India.

“We are pleased to have Rishi joining us. He is a sound lawyer with excellent skill sets and will be a great addition to our M&A and corporate team,” commented AZB & Partners’ Managing Partner Zia Mody.

A graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore, Gautam started his career with Amarchand Mangaldas. In 2006, he left the firm to join Sydney office of Freehills.

In 2008, he moved to London to join Clifford Chance. He worked there for about four years till 2012 after which he joined a subsidiary of Amazon.
