Tatva Legal, Pragati Law Chambers win JLCC Cup 2014; Naik & Naik bags Best Batsman, Player of the Series

The second edition of the JLCC CUP 2014 organized by Justice League Cricket Club concluded this Sunday at the MVIT Grounds, Bangalore. The tournament saw the participation of a total of 20 teams from 27 law firms in Bangalore.

In the finals, the team of Tatva Legal and Pragati  Law Chambers emerged as the champions, defeating the team of Shetty & Hegde and Naik & Naik by 3 runs. The final had Justice Bhonsle as the Guest of Honour and the audience included Senior Advocates Udaya Holla and Madhusudhan Naik.

Abhishek Malipatil of Naik & Naik was adjudged the best batsman and the player of the series. Suhas won the best bowler and Rachna of Just Law won the lady player of the tournament.

Speaking to Bar & Bench, Souvik Paul Mazumdar, the co- founder of JLCC congratulated the winning team, and also stated that JLCC was very proud to organise this cricket tournament for the second year in a row.

“We are very happy with the overwhelming response and support,” said Mazumdar, “and we would also sincerely like to thank Citibank (our banking partner) and Trident Group (our automobile partner) for being the co-sponsors of this tournament and extending their warm support.”
