The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Esplanade in Mumbai on Wednesday remanded three accused in the Tiger Shroff firing case to the custody of the Mumbai Police Anti-Extortion Cell (AEC) until October 31.

The accused have been identified as Rehan, Ritik Kurmi and Phool Singh. They were produced before the magistrate after being brought to Mumbai from Kota.

The prosecution sought police custody to investigate the conspiracy behind the incident which occurred on the evening of October 18.

Assailants fired five to six rounds at Shroff's car in Juhu. While he escaped relatively unhurt, his driver and a bystander sustained injuries.

The Mumbai Police kater registered an FIR for attempt to murder and offences under the Arms Act.

After the shooting, the accused allegedly abandoned their motorcycle in Andheri and attempted to flee to Nepal via Surat, Jaipur, and Delhi.

They were intercepted by Kota police.

Investigations suggest a link to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which claimed responsibility for the attack in an unverified social media post.

Police allege that Rehan was in contact with a foreign-based gang associate.

Advocate Ajinkya Mirgal appeared for the accused in Mumbai.

The Delhi Police Special Cell has also arrested four additional suspects for allegedly supplying the firearms used in the attack.

Police claim a pistol and 20 rounds were procured from Amritsar on the foreign contact's instructions and transported to Mumbai by a female accused.

Custodial interrogation is currently underway to ascertain the exact motive behind the shooting.
