Khaitan & Co, TT&A, Hogan Lovells Cadwalader act on Symbiotec Pharmalab ₹1,757 crore IPO

Symbiotec Pharmalab Limited has raised ₹1,757 crore from an initial public offering of equity shares, comprised of a fresh issue of ₹150 crore and an offer for sale of ₹1,607 crore by certain existing shareholders.

Khaitan & Co advised Symbiotec Pharmalab on this IPO.

The transaction team consisted of Gautham Srinivas (Partner), Sathvik Ponnappa (Partner), Pulkit Singh Rahangdale (Principal Associate), Associates Anubhav Jaiswal, Sarvesh Sharma, Dharini Shanker, Anushaka Sharma, Swadha Swaroop and Naman Seth.

TT&A advised JM Financial Limited, Avendus Capital Private Limited, Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors Limited and Nomura Financial Advisory and Securities (India) Private Limited, the book running lead managers on this IPO.

The transaction team consisted of Abhinav Kumar (Partner), Shubham Sancheti (Managing Associate), Abhishek Iyer (Senior Associate), Associates Daniyal Khan, Akshita Sharma and Harsh Shekhar.

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader served as the international legal counsel to the BRLMs on this IPO.

The transaction was led by Biswajit Chatterjee (Head of India Practice and Dubai Office Managing Partner), with support from Varun Jetly (Counsel), Suchisubhra Sarkar (Senior Associate) and Aditya Dsouza (Senior Associate).

Symbiotec Pharmalab is a research and development-driven, science-based pharmaceutical and biotechnology company with capabilities across three platforms- organic chemistry, biotechnology and complex injectables. The company has a global leadership position in corticosteroid and steroidal-hormone active pharmaceutical ingredients ("APIs") in volume and value terms in Fiscal 2025.

The IPO drew substantial interest from anchor investors as well as retail investors and was oversubscribed by 75.08 times.
