1,293 miscellaneous matters, 106 regular matters disposed of by Supreme Court in last 4 days: CJI UU Lalit

The Supreme Court has disposed of 1,293 miscellaneous matters and 106 regular hearing matters in the last four days, Chief Justice of India (CJI) UU Lalit said on Friday..The CJI also said that the top court disposed of 440 transfer petition cases in the same period. .The total number of miscellaneous cases disposed of in last 4 days was 1,296 and regular matter disposed off was 106.CJI UU Lalit."The total number of miscellaneous cases disposed of in last 4 days was 1,296 and regular matter disposed off was 106. The court staff has informed me. This shows the court has been functioning at this pace. Supreme Court also disposed off 440 transfer petition cases in last 4 days," he said.He said that the apex court will try and dispose of as many cases as possible and he will strive his best in his short tenure as CJI to live up to the expectations."The Supreme Court will try to dispose of as many cases as possible and as much as you bring to the Supreme Court and let this message go to all nook and corner of this country," he said..The CJI was speaking at felicitation function organised by the Bar Council of India in his honour."Everyone was telling me about the kind of expectations they have from me.
